Event: Spawns of Insomnia
This was a 24-Hour comic produced during a 24-hour comic "marathon". These are fairly common
events across the country where cartoonists are challenged to create a 24-page comic in 24 hours.
Usually this is done completely from scratch, no notes, no sketches, and is complete and publishable at
the end.
In the case of this event the rules were modified because of the event sponsors and the
possible use of the final comic. We were allowed to arrive at the event with a single page of notes,
sketches or whatever and we only had to finish lettering and pencilling the comic.
The event was held at a local science fiction/fantasy convention, CascadiaCon. Having been an avid
convention attendee in the past I kept running into old friends during my 24-hours and ended up losing about
4 hours to socializing. Regardless, I completed the lettering & pencilling, and finished inking the first 4 pages.
