Where's Kev Been?
March 26, 2008 - As you can see from the date of my previous posting it's been quite a
while since I've updated the site. I've simply been too busy to get around to it (and I do have to spend
some time with the family...)! I started on a long-term
project for MeySen Academy in Japan in the beginning of 2007 and it's been non-stop ever since. It's pretty
much a full-time job though I do try to fit in a few side-projects from time-to-time.
Over the next few months I'll be adding images of my MeySen work so be sure to check back every
couple of weeks to see what's been added.
Late Thanksgiving Cartoon
November 28, 2006 - I actually had this cartoon finished way ahead of time but forgot
to post it here or send it to non-business contacts. Doesn't really apply now since it's officially
"shop for Christmas" season, but it's always been my pet peave before Thanksgiving.
See it!
Book printed after 13 years
October 25, 2006 - "The Story of the Toothfairie" has just been published,
a book I illustrated back in 1993. Get yours today!

Positive Response to Dogpile Memorial Day Art
May 29, 2006 - My seasonal design for Dogpile.com's home page on Memorial Day
received an unusual amount of positive comments. One of the comments received: "Thank you so very much
for this special design. It brought tears to my eyes. I am a Retired Air Force fighter pilot who
fought in Viet Nam and was in on the beginning of Gulf War I. Once again thanks for thinking about
those who gave everything for all of us." View the graphic and read more comments.
Arfie Turns 10
January 5, 2006 - Dogpile.com
is celebrating its 10 year anniversary "of Outstanding Combined Search." I created the birthday artwork
on the home page as well as the design & art on the
landing page.
Dogpile.com Holiday Art
December 21, 2005 - Check out my latest bit of seasonal artwork for
Dogpile.com. There'll be a new one for New Years
as well. Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings, Merry Christmas and all that!
"Best Written" Award
October 22, 2005 - At this month's meeting of
Cartoonists Northwest I received the
"Best Written" award for my 24 hour/24 page comic book "Anomolies"
created at the "Spawns of Insomnia"
event in August. I was surprised and flattered to get the award as I rarely do writing beyond single image
gags and comic strips.
Starlog Mention
August 2005 - I got a nice little acknowledgement on the last page of the September
2005 issue of Starlog: "We've had some terrific contributors in the past, among them Howard Cruse
(former STARLOG Art Director and the creator of Barefootz), Phil (Buck Godot) Foglio,
Kevin Brockschmidt..." I'm flattered to have made #3 in the list of the twelve cartoonists mentioned by name.
